Terms of Service for BillMaster97
By accessing billmaster97.com, using the BillMaster97 web application, or purchasing an Enterprise license, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please discontinue using the software.
1. Software License Grant & Tiers
Purchasing BillMaster97 grants a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable lifetime license to deploy the software locally without recurring monthly subscription fees:
- Free Starter Community ($0): Free local offline billing for individual entrepreneurs and boutique counters generating up to 50 invoices/month.
- Pro Business Edition ($199): 1 Active Workstation Terminal license, watermark removal, 3 executive PDF themes, and unlimited catalog items.
- Commercial Enterprise Suite ($499): 5 Counter Terminal Activations, Speed POS grid, 58mm/80mm thermal bridge, cashier PIN security, and dead-stock radar.
- Corporate Franchise Fleet ($999): 12 Franchise Terminal Deployments, multi-company brand switcher, and VIP direct desk access.
- Extra Terminal Add-On ($99): +1 Additional Workstation activation for active Pro or Enterprise license holders.
2. Software Ownership vs. Developer Support Scope (SLA)
Your license grants perpetual lifetime use of the version purchased. Direct developer email support is provided for 12 months from the date of purchase covering software defect verification and license activation. Beyond 12 months, users maintain permanent software access, self-service documentation, the built-in AI Assistant, and maintenance releases. Support is delivered strictly via email ([email protected]) with a standard 24–48 business hour response SLA. Live telephone support, on-site assistance, and real-time emergency dispatch are explicitly excluded.
3. 100% Client-Side Architecture & Data Loss Immunity
BillMaster97 functions 100% offline-first. All invoices, inventory items, and customer ledgers reside strictly inside the user's local device memory (IndexedDB) with zero telemetry or remote server copies. The user is solely and exclusively responsible for taking regular data backups using the built-in 1-click JSON/CSV export feature. The developer and publisher (Narayan Modak) bear zero liability for any data loss resulting from cleared browser storage, operating system reinstallation, lost hardware, or physical disk corruption.
4. No Financial, Legal, or Tax Advisory Services
BillMaster97 is a computational invoicing utility, not a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant, or tax law practitioner. Pre-configured regional tax presets (GST, VAT, Sales Tax) are informational templates. The business owner bears full and exclusive responsibility for verifying that generated invoices, tax apportionment, and fiscal registrations comply with all local, municipal, state, and federal tax laws.
5. Third-Party Hardware & Peripheral Disclaimer
The software integrates with industry-standard ESC/POS protocols, Web Bluetooth, and Web Serial. The developer does not manufacture physical hardware and is not liable for malfunctioning thermal printers, defective USB/Bluetooth adapters, missing manufacturer drivers, or operating system hardware restrictions.
6. Limitation of Liability & Maximum Remedy
The software is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without warranties of any kind. Under no circumstances shall Narayan Modak or BillMaster97 be liable for lost profits, business interruption, or consequential damages. In any event, the developer's maximum cumulative aggregate liability shall never exceed the actual amount paid by the customer for the software license.
7. Intellectual Property & Anti-Piracy
The BillMaster97 software, codebase, trademarks, and user interface designs are the intellectual property of Narayan Modak. You may not reverse-engineer, redistribute, or resell cracked commercial license keys. Unauthorized redistribution will result in immediate license termination and legal enforcement.
8. Payments, Taxes & Merchant of Record (Polar.sh)
All commercial license purchases on billmaster97.com are securely facilitated and billed by Polar.sh acting as our official Merchant of Record (MoR). By placing an order, you acknowledge that Polar.sh is the seller of record for billing, currency conversion, invoice generation, PCI-DSS payment compliance, and the collection and remittance of applicable global sales taxes (including European Union VAT, United Kingdom VAT, GST, and US State Sales Tax) in compliance with local tax authorities.
9. 30-Day Refund Policy & License Revocation (Exclusively via Polar.sh)

You represent and warrant that you and your business entity are not located in, organized under the laws of, or a resident of any country or region subject to comprehensive trade embargoes or sanctions administered by the United States Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), the European Union, the United Kingdom, or the United Nations (including Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine). You agree not to export, re-export, or deploy BillMaster97 in violation of applicable export control laws.
12. Age Requirement & Commercial Authority
You must be at least 18 years of age (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) and possess full legal capacity to enter into binding agreements. If you are purchasing on behalf of a corporation, partnership, or retail enterprise, you warrant that you are authorized to bind that entity to these Terms.
13. Dispute Resolution & Chargeback Prevention
We are dedicated to resolving customer concerns swiftly and equitably. If you encounter any technical difficulty or billing discrepancy, you agree to contact developer support at [email protected] or use Polar.sh's 1-click refund tool at polar.sh/purchases prior to initiating a payment dispute or chargeback with your card-issuing bank. Requesting a direct refund guarantees instant resolution without administrative dispute delays.
14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the substantive laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms that cannot be settled amicably shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in South 24 Parganas / Kolkata, West Bengal, India.
